Hungry Bibliophiles, A Paper & Printing Project

Russell Maret is a type designer and private press printer working in New York City who has organized a very special project, Hungry Bibliophiles. Working with Tim Barrett at the University of Iowa Center for the Book, the project is an experiment to see if paper historically was gelatin-sized after printing, and also to create a book meant to be used in day-to-day life.

Read more about the ideas behind the experiment here, and also take a look at the latest update.

A full article about Hungry Bibliophiles will be in the Winter 2015 issue of Hand Papermaking magazine.
