CLEVELAND (July 8, 2015) – Flock to the Morgan to observe their newest mesmerizing exhibitions. Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory and Educational Foundation will present concurrent exhibitions in the main gallery featuring Kerri Harding’s Murmuration and Jack Carlton’s Observations & Impressions.

Art Exhibition: Paper Transformed at the Northwind Arts Center

Paper Transformed is the subject and the art of eight Northwest artists to be presented at the Northwind Arts Center, Port Townsend, WA. The exhibition, organized by Friends of Dard Hunter member Lois James, will consist of  paper sculpture, book arts, joomchi, paper weaving, paper in space, and any other paper imaginings.  The papers used in the works include watercolor, Japanese, handmade Asian and Western, and dressmaking pattern paper. During the month will be a talk given by the artists on the subject of “Why Paper?”, plus workshops for both kids and adults.

New Exhibitions at the Morgan Conservatory with Wood Engravers Network and Claudio Orso

CLEVELAND (May 15, 2015) – Things are getting groovy.  Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory and Educational Foundation has invited wood engravers and wood cutters from around the world to present their artwork.

Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory and Educational Foundation will present two concurrent exhibitions in the main gallery featuring Claudio Orso’s Tavola Lunga and Wood Engravers Network‘s Bundles, Collaborations and a Guest.

Decatur, GA – Sycamore Place Gallery is proud to present “Paper Dolls: Handmade paper clothing & unique silver jewelry” featuring the work of paper maker Katy DeMent. 

Katy DeMent is a fiber artist based with a focus on handmade papers for over 30 years. She grew up in North Carolina under a sewing machine, surrounded by quilting great grandmothers, gardening great aunts, and mom. When mom went back to work she lost her personal seamstress.

FDH Member Georgie Cunningham Upcoming Exhibit...


Friends of Dard Hunter member, Georgie Cunningham, will be showing 5 handmade paper woven tapestries at Paperworks 2011 at bj spokes gallery, Huntington, New York. The show was juried by Gene McHugh, Kress Fellow, Whitney Museum of American Art. Opening reception will be held August 6, 2011.
